My 2014 Wedding Season was absolutely gorgeous. From February-December I photographed the most wonderful people and the most beautiful events. And, thanks to Megan and Tyler, I finished off the year with beautiful flair. Megan designed a wedding day that was simply perfect for her 12-13-14 wedding date. With soft silvers and touches of lavender and ivory, Megan turned The Conrad into a winter wonderland. Every detail was so thoughtfully done and I loved photographing such a special vision. Abbie and Tom are such a fun couple and I loved spending a day with them in downtown Carmel, taking pictures, fighting some chilly temperatures, and chatting about their quickly approaching wedding. I’m so thrilled that I get to start the New Year with Abbie and Tom’s January 2 wedding. I couldn’t think of a better way to kick off a new wedding season than photographing this incredible couple. They’re so kind and thoughtful and I know their wedding is going to be something special. Make sure you swing back around next month to see Abbie and Tom’s wedding photos. Jordan and Ross are one of the most lovely, faith-filled couples that I’ve ever been lucky enough to be around. They’re kind and thankful and thoughtful, wonderful people. And they’re so in love. When I first met Jordan she was glowing and all she wanted to do was get married. As much as I love details and beautiful weddings, I love a beautiful marriage more. And I adore couples, like Jordan and Ross, that are more excited for their life together post-wedding than their life planning a wedding. 100% Jordan and Ross knew that the best part about their wedding day was that they were going to end up being married. And I love that.

Wow. I loved Kristen and Mike’s engagement session. We started their session at Bluebeard-the spot of Kristen and Mike’s first date. Their staff was incredible and let us pop in for some photos before they opened for the day. As we were taking photos there was a great guy sitting at the bar with a buddy congratulating Kristen and Mike. He noticed Kristen’s sign, “It all started right here” and he said “Stories like yours are why I love owning this restaurant.” We had no clue he was the owner, but were flattered that he recognized how special of an experience and story his restaurant provided Kristen and Mike. Like the Bluebeard owner, stories like Kristen and Mike’s are why I love my job too. I love that couples start their lives together with my pictures and I love that I get to spend so many happy days with so many wonderful couples. I don’t get to claim that my restaurant is where a couple met or had their first date, but for a lot of couples, I’ll get to claim that I captured the first day of their married life together. And I love that and I can’t wait to do that for Kristen and Mike. In the mean time, enjoy this sneak peek.

Irina and Russell are a beautiful couple and they’re so NICE! I loved pairing up with my old partner in crime, Mal, to spend a day with Irina and Russell for their beautiful fall wedding. Irina is a natural born model and I adored taking photos of her. Not only is she a beauty, but she really has a great time getting her photo taken-which makes my job so wonderful.

Sara and Doug’s wedding day was beautiful. They tied the knot in an intimate ceremony and celebrated their ” I do’s” on top of the city at the Skyline Club. Sara dreamed up a wedding to pair perfectly with a lovely fall day. Purple bridesmaid dresses and bouquets and pops of fall colors from the groom and groomsmen ties matched beautifully with the changing leaves on the grounds of the Second Presbyterian Church. And later that evening, orange and purple flowers and decor adorned the Skyline Club for guests to enjoy, along with an incredible view.

Sara and Doug had a wedding that truly celebrated their joy and love for one another. I enjoyed every second of photographing the newlyweds as the shared their first day of married life. Congrats to Sara and Doug. Wishing you a beautiful life together!

Casey and Tyler planned a pretty wedding at one of my absolute favorite Indy venues, Mustard Seed Gardens. Together Casey and Tyler planned a special wedding day to celebrate their love story. Their barn wedding was beautiful with DIY touches from Casey. She delicately crafted hundreds of paper flowers and adorned each table, bridesmaid and groomsmen with the creative buds. And to top off the stunning barn, she dreamed up a dessert table that was just as pretty as it was sweet. Casey and Tyler shared their “I do’s” with close friends and family and their son, Cooper, who truly couldn’t be cuter. I loved capturing so many wonderful moments for this new family and couldn’t be more thankful that they asked me to be their photographer. Enjoy this sneak peek.

When Jenny came through the Pi Phi house during rush I thought, “that is the most beautiful person I’ve ever seen”. As I got to know Jenny I’d find that that’s absolutely true-inside and out. One of the things that makes Jenny so beautiful is her love for her friends and family. So she planned her wedding at a place all those close to her love-her family farm right down the road from their lake house. As the sun was setting, right on the farm, Jenny said “I do” to Eric. The ceremony was beautiful, the reception decor was so sweet, and Jenny and Eric were all smiles.

These two are truly wonderful. They’re both so caring and happy and together they’re just perfect. I really loved every single minute of their wedding and I adored watching them be joyful together. HUGE thanks to Jenny and Eric for having me down to Kentcuky for their beautiful day. So excited for you both!

I love when I photograph couples at a location special to them. Like this engagement session that I took for Katy and Ted. These Purdue alumns love their alma mater and I couldn’t have been happier to take their photos right where their love story began. These two are so deeply intwined in Purdue that they actually got engaged right on campus. I think it’s so special that we were able to go right back to that exact spot and take some photos of them as an engaged couple.

But this won’t be the last time these two are photographed in Purdue. Their May wedding will be taking place right on campus and I can’t wait for their big day and all of the pretty photos of this wonderful pair. In the mean time, enjoy this sneak peek of their engagement session.

Becky and Matt are a wonderful pair filled with vibrant love and constant smiles. Together they planned a beautiful wedding to match their beautiful personalities with vintage touches and gorgeous florals at MillTop. The fall colors, pops of bold yellow, and an abundance of Dusty Miller helped pull together Becky’s dream of gorgeous fall florals. I adored Becky’s style of decor and I especially loved her bridal style. She paired new with old by incorporating a lace piece made from her mother’s wedding dress. The touch of vintage turned Becky’s gown into an absolute showstopper.

Every element of this wedding was beautiful-especially the couple. I just love Becky and Matt and Becky’s family is really special to me. Being able to capture such a lovely day was an absolute honor. Congrats to Becky and Matt on a beautiful life together! Enjoy this sneak peek.
