Rachel is a beautiful, budding photographer. I like to think that she was taught by the best…because she was my intern last year. Since her 2013 summer internship with me, Rachel has gotten engaged and married to her sweet-as-can be husband, Kevin. These two are so special and I was thrilled to take their newlywed photos. I loved re-connecting with Rachel and being around her constant smile. She’s such a wonderful person and I’m so happy for her and Kevin. Enjoy a few of my favorite images from our Cool Creek Park session.
I may have grown up in Indiana, but there’s a huge piece of my heart that’s in Kentucky. I spent my childhood summers on my grandparent’s Kentucky farm and every holiday in Louisville with my cousins. I also spent 4 years as a Wildcat at UK where I earned my photography degree. I’ve always loved the bluegrass and when I get an inquiry from a Kentucky bride, my heart flutters a bit. So it’s no surprise that I was thrilled to pieces to head to Nicholasville for Ashley and Ross’ wedding.
I had the most wonderful time at this wedding. Ashley and Ross are so great and the scenery of their ceremony and reception was just beautiful. I absolutely loved every minute of this wedding-the travel, the winery, the people. Thanks to Ashley and Ross for a great day. Wishing you all the best!
If you follow my blog, you know by now that I LOVE Mustard Seed Gardens. I love their family-owned atmosphere and staff, their gorgeous grounds and of course their barn. It’s a seriously beautiful venue in every single way. But what I love the most about Mustard Seed is that I constantly feel inspired to capture beautiful images for beautiful couples. Especially when they’re as lovely and kind as Amanda and Kurtis.
Amanda and Kurtis planned a beautiful wedding. Their soft color scheme paired with the MSG barn gave their entire wedding a romantic flair. I loved Amanda’s bouquet and sweet vintage garden details of her reception. And their ceremony was just perfect under a gorgeous tree draped with delicate fabric. Every single part of Amanda and Kurtis’ wedding was sweet and special and celebrated the wonderful couple that they are. I’m so thankful that I got to photograph such a great day. Congratulations to Amanda and Kurtis!
I always love an excuse for a road trip-especially when that excuse is to photograph my friend’s Chicago engagement session. Lindsey and I are sorority sisters. We’re both from Indy but now call ourselves Wildcats. I’ve always loved that we share that connection – that we can both cheer on the Colts but bleed blue for the Cats.
I had three amazing years worth of college fun and memories with Lindsey so it was such a treat to get to capture some new special memories for her and Jamie. I loved every minute of our Lincoln Park and North Ave engagement session. Of course the skyline is so beautiful and every angle is stunning, but mostly I loved spending time with my old friend and meeting her future husband. Jamie is exactly who I would have imagined Lindsey with and I’m so glad that they’ve found each other. I know they’ll have the happiest life together.
Thanks to Lindsey and Jamie for a great day in Chicago! Enjoy!
I love, love, love to see my work in the pages of WeddingDay Magazine. It’s a beautiful publication and it was an honor to be published twice in this current edition.
The first feature is a colorful, bold and intentional styled shoot put together by an amazing team of vendors. CAKE: Jennie’s Cakes DRESS: Blue House Bridal FLOWERS: Violets Are Blue MAKEUP: Faces by KLM PAPERIE: Interprintations PLANNING: Boldly Chic Events VENUE: Indiana Design Center
The second feature is of Meryn and Max and their lovely Mustard Seed Gardens wedding that I photographed last fall. Meryn planned a really special wedding with a beautiful feet washing ceremony and tributes to her love of books everywhere you looked.
Kelly and Aaron are high school sweethearts turned husband and wife. Their beautiful Oak Hill Mansion reception was a stunning celebration of their years and years of love. The ballroom was filled with people who loved them, the decor was soft and romantic, and the bride and groom were smiling from ear to ear. Kelly and Aaron’s wedding was a joy to photograph. They’re as nice as they come and it was a pleasure to capture so many wonderful moments for them over the past year. Congrats you two. Here’s to an amazing life together!
Fiorella and Chris met in Indy, fell in love and got engaged. Their story started here but their next chapter awaits them in Boston. But before their big move, Fiorella and Chris wanted to take an engagement session in the city that they loved and the city they loved in. I couldn’t have had a better time taking these pictures. They’re such a great celebration of Indy and a perfect representation of how sweet Fiorella and Chris love one another. Best of luck in Boston, you two! Indy’s gonna miss you.
This time last year I was the photographer at Megan’s brother’s wedding. Megan caught the bouquet and a week later she was engaged. Now, just a year later, I’m blogging Megan and Larry’s gorgeous wedding photos thinking how lucky I am to be able to capture so many beautiful moments for this family. Megan is one of 8 and every single member of her family make my job a breeze. They’re kind and thoughtful and working with them is a dream.
Megan is just like her family-sweet, funny, thankful. And Larry is just the same. They’re an amazing duo and they’re so fun together. I’m truly sad to see my work on this wedding come to a close. It’s one I had been looking forward to for months and one that I’ll always remember. Thanks to Megan and Larry for a great year together. You two are the best!
Megan and Adam are living out an international love story with Adam living in Cananda and Megan living right here in Indiana. Despite that distance, their story is adding a chapter with a beautiful wedding next spring and I can’t wait to take the photos of that special day. In the mean time, I was able to photograph a sweet engagement session of these two while Adam was in town. What a fun way to spend a few days together!
Thanks to Megan and Adam for a fun session. You guys are the best!
Together, Krista and Jake threw the kind of wedding that you could only hope to attend. It was perfectly planned, beautiful decorated and the focus of the day was the happiest bride and groom. Their Bloomington wedding was a beautiful day. Despite weather reports, there wasn’t a cloud in the sky and there wasn’t a person in the room who didn’t have a smile on their face. In my opinion, that’s the definition of a pretty perfect wedding.
Thanks to Krista and Jake for asking me to travel to Bloomington for their wedding. My entire drive back was filled with me chatting about how great your day was.
