Katie and Thomas’ Mustard Seed Garden was a stunner. Their outdoor ceremony was gorgeous under the canopy of a big tree and the rustic barn was a perfect home for the blush centerpieces and pink and gold cake. But the best part of the day by far was how sweet everyone was. Absolutely everyone. Katie and Thomas come from really special families. They’re the nicest, most caring people and it was wonderful to celebrate the union of their children with them. And Katie and Thomas themselves are simply wonderful. They’re fun to be around and loving towards everyone. They surrounded themselves with supportive guests and a great bridal party and that made their wedding the best day. Congratulations to Katie and Thomas!
Kelly and Grant are the most wonderful, beautiful couple. They’re kind and loving and they’re so FUN to be around I’ve known Grant’s family for many years now and it’s obvious that the examples Kelly and Grant have grown up with have formed their incredible character.
Kelly and Grant planned a stunning Omni ceremony and reception with lush florals and blush gowns. Their wedding was absolutely stunning. I adore working at the Omni because their staff is unbeatable and they work just as hard as I do for my clients. And once again, the Omni provided my clients with another perfect wedding.
Thanks to Kelly and Grant for letting me spend your wedding day with you. I had a BLAST with you both and your wonderful guests. Wishing you a very, very happy life together. Enjoy this sneak peek.
Katy and Ted planned a beautiful wedding at their old Purdue stomping grounds. With the help of Boldly Chic Events, every detail was perfect and their wedding had just the right amount of Purdue Flair. Their reception was held at Ross-Ade Stadium overlooking the Purdue football field, the children at their wedding were gifted with Purdue stuffed animals, they treated their guests to Purdue themed cake pops and a Boiler Maker Special ice sculpture, Purdue Pete got the party started on the dance floor, and their ceremony was located outside right in the heart of Purdue’s campus. Oh wait, about that outdoor ceremony. It rained.
Katy and Ted’s lovely outdoor ceremony got rained out. Guests waited in a nearby classroom building on campus and Katy was a trooper waiting out the rain with absolute grace. We all crossed our fingers but the heavy, heavy rain never stopped. So we made the wedding happen right where we were. This wedding was all about teamwork. And with Boldly Chic Events, Rewind Documentaries, and my incredible second shooter, Abby Hacker, we pulled off a beautiful wedding right where we stood. Within minutes of deciding Katy and Ted would get married inside, we pulled in the flowers from outside, brought together chairs, laid down the aisle runner and lined it with petals, and Katy walked down the aisle as a beautiful bride.
Katy and Ted’s wedding was certainly one I’ll always remember for a few reasons. First, because the couple was wonderful and thankful and incredibly happy to be married, regardless of where they said their “I do’s”. Katy and Ted have been incredible from the moment I met them and it was an absolute honor to photograph their wedding. Secondly, all of us vendors really hustled to make Katy and Ted’s wedding perfect and that’s why I love my job so much. Because with some extra effort and a big open heart, you can do more than just take pictures of people, you can help make their weddings really special. Rewind Documentaries and Boldly Chic Events did much more than just videography and wedding planning that day. They truly made the impossible possible and it was really wonderful to help them along the way.
Congrats to Katy and Ted. Your wedding was PERFECT and I’m so happy for you both. Enjoy this sneak peek.
I knew I was going to love Dani and Jason’s wedding from the minute I met them. They’re easy going and fun and have a really cool vibe about them and I just knew Dani was going to translate that into her wedding. And she did. Dani planned a beautiful wedding with a natural tone that fit her Mavris ceremony and reception perfectly. The beautiful flowers were stunning against the bare brick texture and the entire wedding really brought Dani’s vision to life.
Dani and Jason are a blast to be around and were incredible to work with. I’m so thrilled for them both that their lives together have begun but I’ll be honest, I’m a little bummed that our time together is over. This wedding was one to look forward to and I’m so thankful they asked me to capture their wedding day so I can look back on their beautiful moments together. Enjoy this sneak peek.
Alyssa and Austin’s wedding day was a rainy one, but still incredibly beautiful. Their Omni ceremony and reception was home to a stunning party and perfect day. During the rain, we found shelter under the enormous Omni awning and Alyssa and Austin even braved out some rain drops at the War Memorial to capture some pretty shots. These two were fun and easy and a great time to work with. They had a wonderful wedding and I’m so thankful they asked me to photograph their special day. Enjoy this sneak peek.
Casey and Evan are a wonderful, wonderful couple and I’ve loved working with them from the minute I first spoke to Casey. They’re graceful and loving and a perfect pair. They’re also absolutely perfect parents to their incredible daughter, Kilyn. Kilyn is a bundle of big love and happiness. She’s full of unlimited hugs and smiles and I will certainly miss her visits to my office now that her parents are married.
Casey planned a beautiful MillTop wedding, laboring over DIY projects and sparkling her Chuck Taylors. Her work was well worth it and from top to bottom, her wedding was stunning. Casey also dreamed of grungy photos with raw walls and textures. The MillTop was the perfect spot to find brick walls, alleys and a little grunge all over.
I’m so thrilled that Casey’s wedding day was exactly what she had dreamed. This couple deserves all the best, starting with a perfect wedding day. Congrats to Casey, Evan and Kilyn. Wishing you the happiest life together! Enjoy this sneak peek.
Lindsay and Kevin dreamed up a beautiful outdoor ceremony and reception. But as their wedding day approached, rain haunted the forecast. And while the reception got a good downpour, Lindsay and Kevin were still able to have tons of the special moments they had hoped for outside. Their outdoor ceremony was gorgeous in the lush gardens of the Indianapolis Art Center. And they shared a first dance outside completely surrounded by their friends and family. It was a beautiful day, absolutely perfect for this very special couple. I enjoyed every moment of working with Lindsay and Kevin. From their incredibly fun engagement session to Kevin’s perfect reaction to seeing Lindsay for the first time to their special outdoor toasts. They were a joy to photograph. Congratulations to Lindsay and Kevin. Wishing you so much happiness!
The very best part of my job is the people. Hands down. I spend time with some of the most wonderful, caring, giving and thoughtful people. Like Lucy and Kevin. Who shared a beautiful afternoon with me at the IMA. Lucy and Kevin are amazing individually but especially together. I really enjoyed spending a few hours with them talking about their families, their future plans, and the many ways that this very small world has connected us to so many of the same people. Their engagement session was a joy to photograph and I can hardly wait for their December wedding. I know it will be not only beautiful, but also a very special day. Enjoy this sneak peek.
Last weekend was a double header of beautiful, beautiful weddings. Starting with Jennifer and Mark. This couple is as sweet as they come. They keep everyone’s feelings in mind and although it was THEIR wedding day, they were continually thanking me and encouraging me and my performance throughout the day. How incredibly selfless and wonderful. From the moment I met Jennifer and Mark, they’ve been nothing but incredible and kind. This wedding was a joy to photograph because of their genuine happiness and interest in others. They made each quest, each bridal party member, and even myself feel like a million bucks at their wedding. I’m so truly thankful that my job allows me to capture happy moments-especially for those with hearts of gold.
Congrats to Jennifer and Mark on your beautiful, beautiful life together. Enjoy this sneak peek of their Crowne Plaza wedding.
Saturday’s wedding mixed my absolute favorite venue, Mustard Seed Gardens, with a beautiful, exciting couple. The results were Lexi and Jason’s perfect wedding day. From fun getting ready moments at the Prairie House to the reception at the barn at MSG, every moment of this wedding was a happy one. Lexi and Jason are an outstanding pair. They’re so, so happy together and fun to be around. Every minute with them has been a joy and I think each of their guests could agree.
I pray a lot for my couples. That they’ll have a wonderful wedding, that they’ll have great weather, that God will give me the skills and know-how to take beautiful photos for them. But mostly I pray for their lives after their wedding. That they’ll be happy together for years and years to come. God has already blessed these high school sweethearts with years of happiness and I know the best is yet to come. Congrats to Lexi and Jason! I’m so thrilled for you both.
